INDENI is a member of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), an investments holding company established by the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ). From 1973, the company was a petroleum refinery till 2022, when Government policy changed that prompted it to transform into a bulk procurer, exporter and distributor of finished petroleum products. The overall mandate of INDENI\u2019s business evolved from refining crude oil to importing and supplying finished petroleum products. Between 2000 and 2005, INDENI had the management agency to run the Zambia National Oil Company fuel terminal which is currently operated by TAZAMA Petroleum Products Limited as Ndola Fuel Terminal (NFT).<\/p><p>During that time INDENI was responsible both for the procurement of the crude oil and finished petroleum products to supplement the shortfall in the national consumption.
